“At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us.” – Albert Schweitzer Gratitude The quality of being thankful readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness.
In the Greed of having more and more of everything we forget the importance of what we have, we forget the importance of what has been granted to us at that moment of time by god.
Very often we don’t realize what is coming our way, we just focus on what is not happening and what we deserve, we forget that what is happening is what we had desired for earlier when we dint even have this much. In the aspiration of more and more we don’t pay attention to what we have in our hands.
Life comes with its own rules and regulations and we get what we should as per the plan of Al mighty. We are never thankful for anything in life because of which most of the people are never contented or happy. The truth of the universe is – if we remain happy with what we have, we will attract all the positivity in the world, But in the other case if we are always sulking about what we think we deserve and we don’t have or are not getting, we will always have negativity around us causing everything negative.
Same way, we forget to thank and appreciate people who put in efforts for us. We demand for more, we want to change them and make them as we want them to be. But that only changes how good they were to us, only then we realize how well we were treated when they were as themselves. We forget those little things that they do which brought us to be happy in life. What happens is, that they make us feel so comfortable that we take them for granted and behave in a way that they will serve for our happiness forever. Everything comes with an expiry date, no matter how much love they have for us, the more we try to mold them in our way, the more distant they will become. The importance of that much treasured love and care is realized when they go away… Life is too short to realize things when they are over… every act of love, care and attention should be appreciated. We never think about the consequences, busy in our unnecessary desires and demands… what goes, goes and will never come back and even if it does it won’t be the same as it was earlier… Gratitude is really important, it is essential to appreciate every act of kindness, everything that makes us happy, every little thing that once brought a smile on our face… “It’s not the happy people who are thankful; it’s the thankful people who are happy.
Sometimes we may be thankful to someone but it doesn’t mean that gratitude is when we feel thankful and just keep it to ourselves, we have to show it out, act thankful and tell them how grateful and thankful you our… Feeling gratitude and not expressing it will be like wrapping a present and not giving it.
We desire for everything but actually, one word of gratitude makes us get whatever we want in a much larger way… Respect them to get respected is the rule of life. Our doubtful nature of whether this is good enough? Do I deserve more love, more care, more attention, more money..? Is what spoils all the relationships and complicates life… we have to learn to be happy with what we have… A bird in hand is worth two in the bush, remember this proverb?
Life has a lot of obstacles to put u down, all that matters is who out everybody is making the effort to pick u up every time you fall and makes you happy.
Even in the Bhagvad geeta it’s written – “Neither in this world nor elsewhere is there happiness in store for him who always doubts.”
There is always something to be thankful for, so let Gratitude be an attitude…
So my lovelies, appreciate, love and thank everyone… Gratitude is the key to contentment.
